Former All-Japan referee Kyohei Wada worked some of the tournament matches.

Act Yasukawa beat Natsumi Showzuki & Yuusaku in a 3-way in 6:45 by pinning Showzuki.

Nanae Takahashi & Miho Wakizawa vs. Natsuki*Taiyo & Yoshiko went to a 20 minute time limit draw.

5STAR GP Finals: Yuzuki Aikawa beat Kyoko Kimura in 16:34 to win the tournament.

The post-tournament awards:
Fighting Spirit-Yoshiko
Outstanding Performance-Yasukawa
Best Match-Aikawa vs. Takahashi

After this and during the closing sequence, Aikawa challenged Takahashi for the World Of Stardom Championship. Accepted by Takahashi. Likewise, Yasukawa challenged Aikawa for the Wonder Of Stardom Championship. Accepted by Aikawa. After all this, Hailey Hatred made a surprise appearance. It sounds like she’s taking sides with Kimura, and there was one more Kimura-heels brawl before Aikawa closed out the show.

With the GP now in the books, next up is season 9, which begins on 10/14 at Shin-Kiba 1st Ring. No matches set yet but there’s a chance Yasukawa-Aikawa happens here. As for Aikawa-Takahashi for the World Of Stardom Title, date TBA but Aikawa hinted at either 12/24 at Korakuen or next year at Ryogoku.

One more side note: I can’t yet confirm this because Ice Ribbon hasn’t posted Saturday results yet but they billed Hailey Hatred as Triangle Ribbon Champion when she appeared, which would suggest she retained the title at their event, if so V1 for Hatred.

10/1 UPDATE: Daily Sports reports Aikawa will defend the Wonder Of Stardom Title on 10/14 vs. Yasukawa, then she gets her rematch with Takahashi for the World Of Stardom Title on 12/24 at Korakuen.
